DIY panels

Well I finally got my arse in gear and went and bought all materials today required to make my DIY absorption panels. These consisted of 6 metres of 30mm wadding, 3 metres of micro-suede fabric (Coffee), and 3 6mm MDF panels (900 x 600). I decided to make the panels 900 x 500, as they would suit/fit the room better. Basically each packet of wadding was folded over on itself to give me extra thickness, and I stapled the fabric to the back of the MDF. They came up much better than I expected, so I plan to mount them over the weekend. Also bought some curtains for the opposite wall, which I may attempt at installing also over the weekend. Some pics:-

Nice job with the acoustic panels Mark. How are you planning on mounting them? I heard a rumour that they perform better if mounted slightly proud of the wall? Anyhoo, your the one with the edjimication. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind comments. Prepared to take any advice on mounting at this stage – I take it Andrew has some recommendations on ideal distance from the wall? Apologies for no advance warning of pictures of Richter speakers on this site, hopefully the Family First party wont take legal action!
