The RPM5 design uses high-end turntable features normally only found on products costing many times its price. The Pro-Ject 9c precision tonearm is fitted as standard, while the piano-lacquered gloss MDF plinth stands on three feet which act as shock absorbers, and the motor is decoupled from the plinth to reduce vibration transmission.
The resonance-optimised platter is an MDF sandwich construction utilising a new cork mat and screw-down record clamp. Its low-tolerance chrome-plated stainless steel axle runs on a teflon bearing plate in a sintered bronze bearing housing.
