This 7.1-channel network AV receiver offers unsurpassed versatility with access to today’s most popular music sources including Internet Radio, Rhapsody online music service, music streaming from PC, HD Radio with iTunes tagging, USB, iPod and Bluetooth compatibility, as well as extensive multi-zone custom installation and convenience features, plus a Web Browser Control.
Using a local area network (LAN) connection and Windows Media Connect technology ver.2 or better, Yamaha Network enabled receivers allow you to play MP3, WMA and WAV music from up to fifteen (15) PC’s. The receiver can even be used as a client for Yamaha’s MusicCAST home music server, seamlessly integrating with the MCX-2000 digital audio server within your LAN. The Network Receiver also provides the ability to listen to any of the thousands of stations available on Internet radio when connected to a broadband Internet connection. By using the included MP3 vTuner data service that is enabled, looking for content on the Internet couldn’t be easier, from your favorite Rock, Pop, or R&B to Podcasts that cater to your music interests. With a USB terminal on the front panel you now have a convenient way to play music from USB flash drives and portable USB music players. Yamaha Network Receivers get you connected to the vast music content available anywhere on your LAN and on the web.
The RX-V3900 can convert 480p signals to HD resolutions (720p, 1080p), and is one of the first in its price point to offer the benefits of superior up-scaling technologies courtesy of Anchor Bay Technologies.
In addition, the RX-V3900 allows video composite, S-video and component signals to be up-converted to HDMI output, with a TBC (Time Base Corrector) that stabilises the video signal. A video de-interlacer, superior to any other in this class of receiver, effectively delivers best-quality progressive video images.
Worthy successor to the RX-V3800, the RX-V3900 features powerful 7-channel amplification and employs Yamaha’s Digital ToP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) design concept to maximise digital sound quality, with several operation modes that provide short, direct signal paths for even greater sound clarity. For true audiophiles, Yamaha’s upgraded Pure Direct Switch now has a zero Intermediate Frequency (IF) and low-jitter Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) circuit, and provides high quality stereo sound reproduction.
Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimiser (YPAO) completely simplifies the setup process for your home theatre by automatically analysing room acoustics and setting parameters for optimum sound quality at the listening position, all at the touch of a button. The entire process takes less than three minutes––and with YPAO, you can be assured of ‘professionally calibrated’ surround sound quality. Six YPAO settings can be stored in the receiver’s memory.
